Sold the home!

Well, I sold the property I've lived and worked at for many years, and the move to Oregon is now permanent.
I spent a lot of time in this shop and now life has taken a new direction. What used to be way out in the country now has a six lane road in front, and housing developments and businesses an all sides. I wish I could move all the structures here. They are all made out of old growth pecky cypress and built by a cabinet maker back in the 30's. I covered most of the wood in the house to insulate and make the rooms brighter. The shop was originally a horse barn to which I added on a few more rooms & a plywood floor.

  1. It is a beautiful house and place. I like Florida despite the heat and the bugs and the "carpet baggers," and the drugs and the heat and the bugs. I guess i understand your move due to the changes in Florida but it is cold and wet and not a lot of money here in Oregon.
If I had the money I'd have bought your house and moved to Tampa. Bootlegged cypress stumps in the swamps or something...

    1. You didn't mention the high humidity. Hot or cold, it makes it uncomfortable. Did I mention the humidity?

    2. And the little black bugs that swarm around you when you sweat and you always sweat...
I suppose the funny old guys that live in the swamps and their insane kids are all gone. Replaced by the 21st century type low grade drug addicted petty criminals which are not entertaining at all.
