Some end of the year game cam photos

Click on the pictures and enlarge them.
Not the biggest in the woods, but they sure make for a pretty picture!

I tried playing with the colors a little.

And the elk are still around!

And by request (see below) and a bit fuzzy as I didn't have a long lens with me, a Coyote for Budde!

  1. I really like trail cam pics. I was planning to go out tomarrow to reset my cam but I'm concerned that the batteries won't hold up. As I am typing this the temp is -8

    1. I use larger gel-cell rechargeable batteries and they seem to work fine even when it reached +8*F out. -8* I don't know. :-)

  2. Nice deer pics. I only seem to get night time photos now. My batteries seem to still work even well below zero degrees. And they have been in the camera for months.

    1. Thanks Ralph. My two oldest cameras like to run amok when it gets below 32* and take non-stop pictures of cold air. The newer Bushnels have better guts.

    2. I just set mine out yesterday and the temp was around -22F. Batteries showed very low voltage but I didn't have any new ones on hand to replace them. We shall see if it takes any pictures in a day or so. Too cold to go and check right now.

  3. Could you publish more photos from your collection of Coyotes going poop? Also, can you prove to us whether bears actually do go poop in the woods?
It is now cold in Florida. 60 degrees at the highest rated beach in the country. Great...

    1. If you insist. I however, will PM you a photo of bear poop for your scatological pleasure.

    2. Thanks for the definitive proof that bears do use the woods as a restroom!
