Birds & the bees

An American Robin being proud to be one.

The crop holds up pretty well!

And an acorn Woodpecker

  1. The woodpecker must be a western variety; I don't think we have them around here.

    1. Not found in Sask. either. That is a rare bird. And our robins have headed South for winter.

  2. Currently they seem to be pretty common here in the valley around my place. That said, I had to look it up to ID it. I don't know my birds very well.
Even the robin threw me for a loop. I'm used to seeing them on the lawn, not perched up on a dead oak tree.
