Female black crab spider

Coriarachne brunneipes.

These shots need to be clicked on!

If anyone is interested: I placed a bowl upside down on a lazy susan,  added a little water, and a chunk of wood. This kept her contained, and I spun it around and shot photos as she moved around trying to find a way off.

    1. She's running around free now. No spiders were harmed in the making...

  2. It is so nice to see there are others who appreciate these 8-legged lovelies. I adore the spiders that I find living around the outside of our farm home....and even have a few 'friends' living in inside windows to deal with those pesky cluster flies.

    1. Thanks, some, like the jumping spiders, are actually really cute.

  3. I like these spiders. I have one that took up residence in a terrarium by my African violets. If I waved to it waved back.
