The beavers are back

As soon as things calmed down with the dam repair they moved back in. I set a camera up to watch them re-build this one. They had just started to build it on the overflow ditch. I should get some photos of them if they don't incorporate my camera into the dam.

It will probably be back tomorrow. Time to set up some traps and get started making felt for my new fedora.

    Their tails are worth $20 each here.

      Hmmmm, $20.00/tail, $40.00/pelt, maybe some beaver jerky as a bonus.
      What do they use them for? I hear the tails are pretty greasy. Probably good for boots.

    As far as I know the tails are thrown away after the bounty is collected. The municipality pays since we are so overpopulated with beavers here that they are regarded as a pest.
